Our Clinicians

Lauren Palmer, MA, LPC
  • Practice Owner & Therapist

Lauren’s therapeutic approach is based on the belief that we all deserve the space and freedom to explore the “messiness” that makes us human. She works to help clients demystify emotions that seem to arise out of nowhere, fostering self-insight and a greater sense of internal stability. She believes that therapy can be both a place to acquire practical skills to alleviate symptoms in the present and an opportunity for deeper work — exploring painful past experiences that have shaped (or shattered) clients’ sense of self and understanding of their place in the world.

Lauren is Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained, a modality used to soothe a hypervigilant nervous system that still feels in danger even after a threat has passed. Additionally, modalities like Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), existential, somatic, and mindfulness-based interventions inform Lauren’s approach to treating anxiety, depression, trauma, and grief. Modalities aside, Lauren believes in genuine curiosity in the therapy room, recognizing the complexities of human experience rather than depending on a one-size-fits-all approach.

The vibe in Lauren’s office is:

    • Cozy and not clinical

    • A mix of deep work, dark humor, and genuine relief

    • A space where you can say the thing you’ve never said out loud

    • Not a single inspirational poster in sight

Sana Maaz, MA, LMFT-Associate
  • Therapist (Supervised by Bianca Vincent, LMFT-S, LPC-S)

Sana works with individuals and couples who are ready to understand themselves on a deeper level and create real, lasting change in how they relate to themselves and to others. Her work often focuses on anxiety, trauma, identity, and the relational patterns that keep people feeling disconnected or unseen.

She brings a grounded, compassionate presence to therapy, creating space for clients to explore the parts of themselves they’ve learned to hide or “fix.” Sana helps clients uncover the beliefs and emotional blueprints that once protected them but now stand in the way of growth, connection, and self-trust.

Sana is trained in the Gottman Method (Level 1) and integrates elements of Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and other attachment-based models to help couples rebuild safety, empathy, and communication. She is also completing advanced training in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Coherence Therapy, blending these approaches to help clients heal the effects of complex and attachment-based trauma at both the emotional and nervous-system level.

The vibe in Sana’s office is:

    • Curious and connection-focused

    • A space where honesty feels safe, even when it’s messy

    • Where contextual nuance and nervous-system wisdom meet

    • Absolutely no “just communicate better” clichés in sight
